3 Musicians Died This Year
From Opioid Overdose

Every day, more than 115 people in the United States die after overdosing on opioids. SIMS is sounding the alarm to the national opioid epidemic rapidly seeping into Austin communities. From 2016 to 2017, the number of SIMS clients seeking treatment for opioids and other substances doubled. We’re feeling the pressure on our limited resources, and this year were forced to ration services to meet the demand of those seeking treatment. We need your help to combat this national epidemic at our doorstep.

SIMS has the expertise to address opioid abuse in the Austin music community.  We can respond quickly to musicians and music industry professionals with an individualized treatment plan that is customized and managed by our staff clinicians. Our provider network is in place and ready, but we need the support of our community to contribute to these costly services. You can help fund treatment costs and SIMS outreach and stop this epidemic from destroying our music community.

WE NEED TO RAISE $50K FOR THIS EFFORT BY MARCH 31, 2019!
