This year, the SIMS Foundation is providing a space dedicated to SXSW Official artists and music industry professionals alike to take a breath and rest during the festival. Official SXSW Artist, SXSW Staff, or official Venue Staff credentials required.

Geannie Friedman is a certified yoga instructor and wellness specialist. She is very passionate about teaching yoga, making it welcoming and accessible for everyone, fun, and a practice for growth, strength, healing, and restoration.
Balaram Shakti is a Yoga instructor specializing in music, bodywork, mindfulness and meditation. He helps hardcore kids, punks, metalheads and rockers find balance with yoga.
The SIMS Foundation provides mental health and substance use recovery services and supports for musicians, music industry professionals, and their dependent family members. Through education, community partnerships, and accessible managed care, SIMS seeks to destigmatize and reduce mental health and substance use issues, while supporting and enhancing the wellbeing of the music community at large.
