You may qualify for behavioral healthcare services through SIMS if you meet the following criteria:
1. RESIDENCY: You can demonstrate proof of residency in one of the counties SIMS serves (Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson). If you are currently unhoused, please contact us for more information at 512-494-1007 or clinical@simsfoundation.org. Being unhoused will not be a barrier to care.

2. INDUSTRY WORK: You can demonstrate income earned in the music industry in the past 12 months or are a dependent family member of a person who can demonstrate income earned in the music industry in the past 12 months.

SIMS DOES NOT ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING AS PROOF OF INCOME IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY:
3. UNDER 400% OF THE FEDERAL PROPERTY LEVEL (FPL): Your annual gross household income is below 400% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). To review the 2025 FPL chart and learn more about how/why SIMS uses this guideline, please see the slide below. Every SIMS member has a unique set of circumstances so the availability of financial assistance through SIMS is evaluated individually. In some instances, members may be asked to provide verification of household income.
